Why South Port
South Port Transport is a Regina-based, owner-operated carrier. We started with one van and a promise to a handful of local businesses: we will be at the border every weekday, and we will answer the phone. That promise still runs the company. The people who quote your load are the same people who drive it, so nothing gets lost between sales and dispatch.
How it works
Call, email or use the quote form. Pickup, delivery, weight, dimensions and when it needs to be there.
Dispatch quotes the same business day. Hotshots are quoted in minutes.
Send the commercial invoice. We file the customs entry with your broker before the truck rolls.
The driver texts at pickup, at the border and at delivery. Proof of delivery follows by email.
The fleet
Nothing bigger than the job needs, so you never pay for empty deck.
The daily-run truck
Enclosed and dry, for pallets, crates and full loads on the scheduled Regina to Minot run.
Hotshot and parcel van
On call around the clock for hotshots, parts runs and U.S. parcel pickups. Direct from pickup to delivery with nothing else on board.
On time and intact
We take pride in our work, so your packages arrive on time and intact.
Rates
We don't publish a rate sheet because every load is different. Tell us what it is, where it is going and when it needs to be there, and you will have a firm number back the same day.
Per pallet or per piece
The economical option. Your freight shares the scheduled truck and is priced by space and weight. Regular shippers get a standing rate.
Per trip, dedicated van
Quoted by the trip based on distance and timing. You get the whole van and a driver who goes straight there.
Per truck or per lane
Whole-truck moves and recurring lanes are priced as a package. One number, agreed up front, reviewed each season.
Customers
We have a standing pickup with South Port. Parts ordered from Minot on Monday are on my counter Wednesday morning and I never have to phone about the border.
They pick up from our dock every morning and our Minot customers have it the same day. Same driver, same time. That consistency is worth a lot.
Combine went down at 6pm. Called South Port, the part left Minot at nine and was in the yard before midnight. Harvest kept going.
Hotshots to lease sites at odd hours and they always find the road. Dispatch actually answers, which is rarer than it should be.
Our Canadian shipments used to be a headache. South Port sorted the paperwork with our broker once and it has been routine ever since.
